All The Shimmery Nudes You Will Ever Need.

I am a massive sucker for eyeshadow palettes, especially nude sparkly ones. When I was in Florida recently, I picked this up on one of my last visits to Sephora after convincing myself for three weeks that I didn't need it, I finally caved and bought it.

I have only played around with this palette on a few occasions so I don't think I have yet used it to its full potential but I do have some opinions so far.

Now the first thing I will say is if you are just starting out with makeup and want to invest in some high end makeup that is worth it - this is the one you need. Its got cool and warm nudes so perfect for anyone and the eyeshadows are really easy to use. By this I mean that despite them being very pigmented, they don't cause lots of fall out so they won't become the dreaded palette that you hide in the back of your drawer because you are too scared of the mess. Trust me, so far there if very little if any.

One thing I have noticed is that these eyeshadows are very pigmented when swatched on your hand but when I first used these shadows on the eyes they didn't appear quite as pigmented. They just need some work and you could always foil them using a damp brush to make the colour stand out even more.

The eyeshadow palette contains three looks that you can use if you don't feel like experimenting too much. They do also give you instructions for creating their recommended looks if you want to play it a little safer but obviously you can either stick to that or create your own.

I-528 | I-514 | ME-512

The first row is all creamy nudes. The one on the left is almost white, leading into a more natural nude and then a really pretty light gold.

S-556 | D-562 | ME-644

The seconds are the middle/light browns. The left one is a matte taupe colour, then a light nude and a dark browny gold. I think this is my favourite row of them all.

S-102 | I-544 | D-652

These are the dark shades. The matte black is so super pigmented and an absolute staple in any eyeshadow collection, the middle is a shimmery taupe purple colour and my favourite one is the dark golden brown which looks absolutely stunning on any eye colour.

Whilst looking on the Sephora website at this palette, I found that they have the list of the actual colour names of each eyeshadow so I thought I would share them. They go from from the top of each row at the lightest down to the darks starting on the left.

I-528 Pearl, S-556 Taupe Gray, S-102 Onyx, I-514 Pink Ivory, D-562 Taupe Platinum, I-544 Pink Granite, ME-512 Golden Beige, ME-644 Iced Brown, D-652 Celestial Earth

So I hope this post has been of some help to you and I hope you enjoyed it. I really do love this palette and I do recommend it. See you next time!

New Year, Fresh Start.

I can hear you saying it already: "It's not 2016 yet, the year hasn't gone that fast". This 'New year' is a new school year so obviously targeted at the younger readers still in school or education or for some of the people who choose to start their diaries in August - My personal favourite diaries, The, it's a new diary for you so that is also a new beginning.

Even if you had a really crap 'last year', going back to school or wherever you may find yourself could be a fresh start; Do something different and let things go if they made you unhappy or hindered you last year. If you want to be more organised this year and think you could try to use a calendar if it was on your wall, then buy that calendar and hang it on your wall. Make this a new you.

Everyday can be a fresh start. If you are going to a new school this year and want to make new friends or you really want to get good grades this year then do it. What's stopping you?

Let the past go, it's behind you and your path is forward. Don't let it stop you; It's never too late to change who you want to be.

The Reason Behind My Spending Ban...

Now as you would know if you either follow my personal Instagram, on Twitter or if you read my last blogpost then you would know that I was recently in America for three weeks and slipped up in quite a few shops, oops.

Now I use the term 'Spending ban' quite loosely, I haven't got quite that much dedication to be able to not shop especially with my favourite season just around the corner but instead I mean: 'Try and steer clear of MAC unless a purchase is absolutely necessary or easily justified.' It probably won't last long...

From left to right: D for DangerNew York Apple | Twig | Giddy

First off I just want to say if you are from the UK like me, I'm not sure how easy it is to get your hands on 'Giddy' as I can only find it on the US site so I'm sorry if it is only available in America. You can however purchase in a few different places such as on amazon if you are eager to get your hands on it.

I only bought three MAC lipsticks whilst I was in Florida and I was brought one for my birthday so I picked up 'D for Danger' which is a deep red colour, absolutely perfect for Autumn, 'Twig' Which is more of a dark nude which I absolutely adore so if velvet teddy is too light for you, Twig is a really lovely nude and is very similar in colour, just slightly darker so that might be worth looking into. I also picked up 'Giddy' which is my first ever lustre finish from MAC, I feel like it would be perfect if you prefer more natural lipstick or want something subtle for either school or everyday wear as it just leaves a really pretty pick sheen on the lips; I use it more for highlighting the middle part of my lips to create a fuller look.

Alice, who I have mentioned about 100 times here before, was the one to kindly give me a beautiful MAC lipstick for my birthday. She asked one of the shop assistants to pick out a colour for me and she chose the shade 'mehr'. Unfortunately, without knowing, I bought 'Twig' whilst on holiday which is very close in colour so I was able to exchange it for the colour 'New York Apple' which is a frost finish and looks really pretty on the lips and once again, a perfect colour for Autumn and Winter.

I haven't been able to get swatches of these on the lips but the swatches shown here shows them very similar to what they look like when worn. New York apple is shown as quite a light red here though but it isn't in person and is just slightly lighter than 'D for Danger' but is still just as stunning.

Have you bought any new MAC lipsticks recently? What colours should I try next?

A Little Update.

I am currently sat in Orlando airport outside Burger King waiting to board my flight so I am definitely not in the most glamorous of locations but I thought I had better update you with the happenings of my life at the moment.

The reason why new blogposts haven't really been coming recently is because I have spent the last three weeks in the USA, posing with princesses and dancing around the makeup aisles (where I spent waaaayyy too much money and have now got to buy new makeup storage and yes, there will definitely be a haul.) So I took my laptop with me but didn't bring my camera so I couldn't get new pictures uploaded to my blog in order to start writing posts while I was away but they will start again from now! Sorry though!

I will also hopefully be doing a Disney and maybe a Universal themed blog post once I get home and sort out all the photos but if you can't wait until then, I have posted tons of photos over on my personal Instagram so go and follow me here to keep in the loop of my day to day shenanigans!

I get my exam results on the 20th of August and start college in September so those are the upcoming events in my life incase you were wondering. I have got into a level two media makeup diploma where I will be training to be a makeup artist (as the name suggests) so my life is getting busy again but I really want to get content out to you so you will still be a big priority don't you worry!

Once I get home which is now (If you are reading this on Monday evening) and I get myself unpacked and all sorted out then blogposts should hopefully be getting back to normal again! Whoopee! But expect a few hauls and American blogposts; Hopefully that's alright!

Purple Haze.

A few weeks ago, I visited the Lavender fields at Hitchin where you can fill a paper bag up with as much lavender as your heart desires to dry, plant, show off or create some nifty DIYs with once you get home. It is an amazing field where you can just walk up rows and rows of different types of lavender and cut off as many stems as you wish and it just smells amazing.

There are also so many bees around which are very photogenic just you have to be careful not to get stung. Pretty though just maybe not the place to visit if you have a bee phobia.

I decided to take my DSLR up to the fields with me and create a photoshoot of my own so queue Aimee trying to act cool on a bench in the middle of a field. Lucky you!

Jeans | Topshop
Shoes | Converse
Necklace | Primark

Now I genuinely wear this outfit basically 24/7. It is so loose and comfortable and really easy just to throw on and still looks ok. The jeans are my current favourite as they aren't restricting and they are currently in the sale at Topshop so the time is now to grab them before they disappear. I couldn't rate them highly enough.

Everything was terrible. Everything is wonderful.

How many times do you hear the word 'anxiety'? How many times is it joined with a stereotype or someone that brags because they cried in class and decided it was a panic attack? I have been contemplating writing a post about my anxiety for quite a while now but I have never known how to go about writing it but I'm starting to write this today and I shall see how it goes.

Quick little note: Everything I write comes from my experiences. I am a student in High school who just took their GCSE's so I apologise if you wanted an adults perspective. I am not so therefore my writing on the subject may not cover the same content but it's not a competition so I shall try my best! I am also not a doctor or trained in how to cope with anxiety, this works for me but it may not be correct.

I have suffered from Panic attacks for about two or three years now. I had my first one in a biology lesson straight after a practical was explained. I started having panic attacks more frequently: once a month, once every two weeks, twice a week, Once a week until I started having them everyday. I had gone from a happy bubbly girl to someone who wanted to stay at home because I was too scared to go outside and hated being at school. I stopped eating breakfast because I was so nervous and then I wouldn't eat anything at school because I was scared about what people would say. My grades dropped and I failed many mock exams that year because I had had a panic attack that left me tired and over run with emotions so my mind had gone completely blank. It was hard.

I became absent minded and careless about all the things I had once enjoyed. I began to push people away and the worst pert was seeing my best friend and family suffer because of my actions.

If you don't really know what a panic attack is, it is often explained as your body either goes into fight or flight mode. Its the sudden feeling or dread and as if the walls are closing in on you. Noises are heightened but your sight is blurry and its as if everyone around you is staring at you often making you feel as though they are talking about you: 'Oh how silly she is?' 'God, doesn't she look stupid?' and all those things run through my head. It's the feeling or wanting to go home even when you're in a place where you were once excited to be.

I had to decide that enough was enough and tried to stop it affecting me so much. I learnt to control my anxiety by learning to become more confident in myself which very difficult and probably the hardest part overall. I changed how I looked and created a new me forcing myself to walk taller, smile bigger and keep my chin up because I realised the moments I was experiencing were too good to look back on and remember that that was the day I had another panic attack.

I had lots of support from my family and my two best friends. Alice wrote this surprise post for me on her perspective and both Alice and Chloe have been there for me, telling me that it doesn't matter or that that person is just not worth spending time thinking about and although I didn't have millions of people around me, I still managed to do it. I put my mind to it and my anxiety was something I was determined to control.

Someone once told me that wherever you are and you think you are surrounded by complete darkness, you never will be as there will always be light even if it's only a tiny amount. I remember going home that night and laying in bed seeing a tiny crack of light peeking through the gap in my curtains and although I believed her at the time, I didn’t completely understand why that thought was so significant. Eight years later, I now understand.

I surrounded myself with happy quotes, with motivation to become the better version of me instead of being the cold person that I had become. Do what makes you happy and allow yourself to become selfish once in a while. If you want to do it then do it, don't let anyone stop you.

Panic attacks aren't a forgotten thing. They still come and go and my body continues to 'fight or flight' but its much less frequently leaving me happier and back to being my bubbly self with a few hiccups now and then.

It's never too late to make a change.

Forget about the Bad Things.

Another Monday, Another bit of motivation Woohoo!

Because I have been really behind on blogging recently *Slaps wrist* I am actually writing this at two o'clock today ready for it to go up at eight o'clock tonight but at least you know all the feelings I am expressing are true to now and let me just tell you there will be some strong ones in these upcoming weeks!

I found this quote on Pinterest and automatically started singing 'Shake it off' by Taylor Swift and then thought that I couldn't use the quote because it has become well known and slightly cheesy but I'm going to put it in anyway.

Bad things happen to all of us. Big or small, they can effect our emotions at that specific moment. Like getting clothes in the wrong size and feeling like it was your fault or ordering something you realise you don't like at a restaurant and seeing everyone else enjoying their meal around the table but you shouldn't let those things upset how you feel at that moment. Just forget about it and act like nothing happened, smile and move on.

When you look back, you want to think about some of the conversations you had around the dinner table that night or how amazing you looked in that dress once you finally got it in your size instead of those feelings being over run by how upset you were at the beginning. I had a massive breakdown ten minutes before I had to leave to go to prom and after spending 45 minutes to an hour perfecting my makeup I was pretty annoyed that I couldn't keep my shit together thus making me cry more and ruin my makeup but after I had stuck another layer of foundation, powder and blush (sacrificing more contour and highlight) and listening to Chloe trying to tell me that no one else will notice it, I pulled myself together and completely forgot that I did have a really cakey right cheek but I'm looking back remembering that it was a great night, sort of forgetting my makeup mishap.

So forget about it and look back remembering all the good times instead of the bad things that happen and if something bad is permanently there, whether it be a person or a picture or any other thing that's making you feel crap, then you need to lose it. Wave goodbye and move on because frankly, life's to short.
