August Favourites 2014

August has literally flown by and I feel like I've done nothing. It's been one of those lazy, do what you want when you feel like it kind of month but I did go on holiday so many of these favourites are actually more 'holiday favourites' but I'm going to share them anyway as part of August!
Now to start with makeup, To be honest, not a lot really caught my eye but I have been using some recent purchases that hadn't really been reached for before.
My firt three are lip products. If you have been reading my blog for a while now then you will know that I am a huge lip product fan! A lipstick or lip balm of some sort some how always enters a blog post but then that's my addiction. There, I said it. I am ADDICTED to lipsticks, stains, balms, glosses, pencils. You name it, I will love it and these are my first three favourites this month.

The first one is Topshops lipstick in 'Brighton rock'. I have three things to say about this lipstick: 1.) The pictures on Topshop's website make it out to be a pinky-red but it's definitely not. It is a bright vibrant pink perfect for Summer.
2.) I may have slightly cheated as I have only had this lipstick since the 6th of August (My birthday) but, never the less, I am still obsessed.
3.) it's gorgeous! Nothing else to say but gorgeous. It glides on so lovely and stays there. Doesn't smudge, move or slide. Just beautiful.

Second is a No7 lip crayon thingy in 'Delicate pink'. This is only the sample size so don't worry -  The real one is much larger! This colour is quite a pretty and as the name suggests delicate pink. It's really pretty and girly on the lips but can still be a really grown up colour. It's also really moisturising and such an easy product just to throw on!

Lastly is a MAC lip pencil in 'More to love'. I bought this back in January to go under Rebel. Yes, I am aware that that is not the same colour but my shop didn't have one the same colour and I was desperate to wear 'Rebel' but I needed a lip liner underneath so I didn't care. The two make a really pretty pinky-purple. Anyway, like I was saying: It was to go under a deep purple but I have been using it with a deep red chubby stick from Ted Baker (Similar from Barry M) and although it's summer, I still like a deep lip on the odd occasion and this mix is stunning. I get so many compliments on my lip colour whenever I wear the two as a pair and because this lip pencil is a pro long wear, I don't have to worry about topping up my lipstick throughout the day which is great!

Next, I present two face products. The first is Benefits hoola bronzer which is a lovely bronzing shade. It is perfect for contouring and also perfect for a normal bronzer. I am very pale and this scared me at first because it is so dark but used with a light hand, It is the perfect shade for us paler people! however it does come with quite a hefty price tag of £23.50 but if your budget doesn't quite reach that price - check out the Sleek face contour kit which is only £6.49 and includes a great highlighter so you're basically getting two products for the price of one for a purse friendly price.

Now concealer, I am always on the look out for a new concealer and I came across the Maybelline fit me concealer which I have in the shade 'Sand' which is number 20. I bought this but it was too dark, but since being on holiday, It is now the perfect shade for covering up blemishes and I prefer this to the Collection lasting perfection as it isn't as cakey. Now the coverage isn't as high but it isn't as cakey on me which is one thing I dislike about the collection one. And for £5.99, it's a really lovely product.

Now this is one of my all time favourite nail polishes from Rimmel and I have had it for ages. I like dark colours on my toes and I am constantly reaching for this one. I wear it a lot on my fingers to but this is on my toes 24/7. It is part of Rimmels 'Lycra pro' range and I love the finish it has. It's super shiny and opaque in two coats. it has a huge brush for quick application but it is still very precise. It is in the shade 'Night flight' which I think they sadly discontinued but they have loads of new shades which you can buy here. They have also changed their bottle but it is still the exact same product!

Shoes! The first pair of wedges are these very high ones from New look. They are currently in the sale for £13.00 reduced from £27.99 and you can buy them here! My picture doesn't really do them justice but they can look super edgy or quite sophisticated I think. Although the heel stands at just over 5 and a half inches (!) because the platform is so big, they don't feel that high and they are probably the most comfy heels I own. I own these Ted Baker beauties and the heel height is about the same but so much more comfy! Probably not as pretty but much more practical. They also sell them in black with white straps and tan I believe.

Next are my new flip flops from iPANEMA. I took these on holiday with me and let me just say, these are the comfiest flip flops ever! This design also has a cute, girly glittery flag which I love. This particular design comes in loads of different colours and colour combinations so if pink isn't quite your favourite then they have loads of others so go and check out their website for loads of different colours and styles.

So that's about it for my August favourites! We have had things from makeup to shoes to nail polishes to flipflops so I hope you have enjoyed this post and that it wasn't to long! I will also be having my holiday post up soon so look out for that which will include some rather sneaky makeup purchases! (uh-oh) Speak to you soon!

Masculine vs Feminine

Now, Since the weather in the UK has started to turn a little bit chillier, I decided that it would be the perfect time to pull this outfit out. Although it isn't the warmest (As the trousers aren't very thick and the heels are completely open) it is still perfect for the weather we have been having recently.

Jumper | Primark
Trousers | Primark
Bag | River island (A/W13)
Shoes | Primark
Watch | Sekonda
Black ring on index finger | Primark

Hairtrade recently sent me these gorgeous hair extensions and I thought that they would be perfect to style with this outfit as it makes it look a little bit more feminine compared to just having my usual short hair although this look still works perfectly for anyone with shorter hair, I just prefer the combination of feminine long hair and heels) and masculine (Jumper and trousers).

This jumper is perfect for anyone who gets easily annoyed with something that touches their neck as it's quite a large roll neck so isn't permanently stuck to your neck. I also really love getting away from jeans with a smart pair of trousers, Dress them down with pumps and an over the shoulder bag or dress them up with heels and a clutch.; Perfect for going into Autumn.

I'm also really sorry for not posting too much at the moment, I am going to start writing some more blog posts and the next few days are completely devoted to my blog, Instagram and Youtube! - Thanks for sticking with me!
