Fantastic Friday #5

This week, my favourite products are natural lipsticks. I have been wearing these on a regular basis and my go these are my go to lipsticks for school at the moment.

On the left we have 17 lipstick in 'autumn berries' which a dedicated a whole blogpost so I don't want you to have to read it again however, if your new or you didn't read that post I'll link it here so go and have a little look at that.

The middle lipstick is MUA lipstick in shade 11. This product is a bit of a cheat as I only bought it last week but I have been wearing it non-stop and it falls into my natural lipstick selection. It is a really nice glossy lipstick with no shimmer which I love. It is also quite moisturising which is another tick in the lipstick checklist. Overall, It is one of my favourites this month and it's only £1 which you can't beat.

The last one is Avon colour trend lipstick in 'sequin' which is a gorgeous 'your lips but better' kind of shade. this one does have a little bit of shimmer and sparkle but it still isn't drying. I don't really think Avon is a really well known brand as you can't just pop into boots or superdrug and instantly pick up a new blush or shade of nail polish but is available to order or to buy online so I would definitely check out some of their products as I have a few favourites from there.

And that's it, this little series draws to a close but I hope you have enjoyed this little adventure every Friday, I know I certainly have! Please let me know if you would like me to continue squeezing in a series similar to this in upcoming months and I would love to know your thoughts on this series throughout February!

Daily Makeup | February 2014

Today, I am going to show you lovely lot my face of the day. On this day I was just going out for lunch so I didn't bother with eyeshadow as I had to get ready very quickly and it wasn't anywhere too fancy. These pictures were also taken a few days ago. Sorry about the supper close up, didn't realise my camera was that close to my face until I uploaded these photos to my laptop.

I have been sticking to a quick look this week with quite a basic face, thin eyeliner and bright lip.

Fantastic Friday #4

 Mac Satin lipstick | Rebel

Fantastic Friday number four. Well, that went fast. I can't believe that its nearly March already. This lipstick wouldn't usually appear in a weekly favourites but I'm on half term this week so I can get away with darker colours!

I bought this lipstick with a MAC voucher that I was given for Christmas from the MAC store in Cambridge which has to be one of my favourites. I wanted something a little different as I don't own a purpley lipstick.

It glides on smoothly and applies evenly. It lasts for a very long time and I don't find that I have to keep checking on it. I always find that bright fuchsia lipsticks, Bright reds and dark lipsticks are high maintenance but this one doesn't really move.

One thing I don't like about MAC lipsticks or just all MAC in general is that their prices keep creeping up and up. Their lipsticks are now £15.00 which is a little bit pricey. I think their great for a treat but if I want to try a new colour and have to buy it out of my own pocket I think I'll stick to superdrug.

Anyway, Only one fantastic Friday left so don't forget to check back next week for the last one!

The Three Horseshoes

Not too long ago, I visited the three horseshoes with my family for lunch. Me, my Mum and my Dad always meet my Nan and Grandad for lunch and we go here quite a lot. I have been here for years and I can honestly say that it might be one of my favourite countryside pubs. Its so cute and quaint. it has also recently been refurbished with vintage, but still modern feel and that is my favourite kind of decor.

I couldn't get to many good pictures as we were right near the entrance and the waitresses kept giving me funny looks, but I was quite pleased with the ones I took. For main I ordered cod and chips which came with the biggest bit of fish ever and then, although very full I still managed to eat cookie dough ice cream which was like heaven in a cup. Yes, in a cup. It came in a vintage teacup with shortbread biscuits, whipped cream and a strawberry mm...

If you are ever in Spellbrook, I would definitely walk by this place as it is so gorgeous and has amazing food. It is opposite lovely horses and has quite a big garden which is lovely to sit out there with a drink in the summer.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my first out and about post and I might try and do some more of these if you enjoyed it so let me know!

My Inglot palette.

From left to right: 434 | 452 | 433 | 419 | 335

For Christmas, I created my first Inglot palette. I chose the 5 square eyeshadow palette and decided to fill it with shades that I don't really have in my collection or have been to scared to try before. I have dark brown eyes which means I can get away with a lot of different eyeshadow shades so I wanted to try some of them out that I would be able to wear easily.

Four of the shades in my palette are pearl shadows and one is matte.

I haven't ever owned a green eyeshadow before buying these two and they work really nicely in a pair. On New Years eve, I wore a few champagne colours from the Naked 2 palette with the blended into the crease and it looked lovely. The only thing I find with these shadows is that they don't blend very well and you have to be very careful not to make any mistakes.

Anyway, I hope you liked my Inglot palette and it gave you some inspiration as to what colours you would chose if you were creating a palette. Before I went into the shops I was trying to look at peoples palettes for inspiration but still ended up having to narrow down about 16 eyeshadows into five. I hope you have a great day and I'll speak to you soon!

Question and Answer | February 2014

Hello lovelies, For this blog post I decided to do a Q&A session with questions that you have asked me on Instagram. So I'll keep this introduction short and sweet and lets just get into the post!

Favourite drugstore and high end lipstick?
Ah now this ones a toughy as anyone that knows me will know that I love my lipsticks! For drugstore I like the MUA lipsticks as they do loads of colours for just £1.00 and you can't really go wrong. They also last quite a long time and glide on really smoothly. For high end lipsticks, I'm probably going to have to say chatterbox for MAC as its such a wearable colour for me and lasts ages. It goes with loads of different makeup looks and is quite a natural pink shade compared to some of my others!

Favourite blog?
Sammi from Beautycrush and Zoe from Zoella

Favourite John Green book?
The fault in our stars

Favourite makeup product?
I'm not sure if this means favourite specific product or just a favourite product in general so I'm going to answer both. My favourite products in general have got to be anything lip related but definitely lipsticks as they can just completely change your makeup look and my favourite product in general, steering away from lipsticks, Is probably my Collection lasting perfection concealer which every beauty blogger has talked bout so I'm not going to bore you with another rambly review of mine.

What are your top three songs?
Do you know anyone who finds a song they like so they play it over and over again until they don't like it anymore? Well that's me and it's a extremely annoying habit and it makes it really difficult to ever pick favourite songs but, It's probably these three:

Someone like you - Adele (which has been a favourite of mine for ages!)
Bound to you - Christina Aguilera (another long term favourite)
Let it go - Frozen (current favourite)

What is your favourite makeup brand?
I like most makeup brands and I don't really ever stick to a specific brand.

Favourite accent and why?
Not really sure, Probably northern as it's the only accent I can actually do.

What is your favourite movie?
Alice in wonderland! But the one with Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton.

What is your favourite TV series?
I love a lot of TV series but at the moment I am following Benidorm, outnumbered and Birds of a feather. I also love Miranda when that's on TV.

What would you do if all Internet access was gone forever?
Hmm...I'm not entirely sure but I definitely would not be a happy bunny.

Who is your celebrity crush?
I don't really have a celebrity crush but I love Johnny Depp and any movies with him in automatically become a favourite! I also really love the Kardashians.

Any idols?
Zoella Is probably one of my idols as although she suffers with anxiety and panic attacks (which so do I) she always seems so positive and happy. She gets accused of faking her anxiety or being too skinny to be a role model but despite this, she continues to blog and make videos and all with a smile on her face!

Fantastic Friday #3

Ciate mini nail polish | 'pillow fight' and 'fit for a queen'

Hello lovelies! Today's fantastic Friday is on the ciate nail polishes. I received these two in my ciate advent calendar and they were all a bit neglected as only one had been used so i decided to take them all out of the advent calendar packaging into some glass jars which I'm sure you will see at some point either on here or on my instagram so make sure you are following me!

Anyway, I paired these two together because I wanted something a little bit jazzy on my ring finger. As soon as I applied 'fit for a queen' I instantly regretted it as it is a glitter nail polish but, to my surprise, It came off quite easily. Also it is basically opaque in one coat with only a clear bast coat underneath (impressive huh?)

The blue is also a gorgeous colour but took two to three coats to become opaque but also removed very easily.

Ciate nail polishes retail for around £9.00 which is quite pricey for a nail polish in my opinion but it is still cheaper than OPI or Nails inc. I managed to get my advent calendar from Clothes show on the 10th December for just £10.00 instead of over £40.00 which meant I could try out ciate nail polish with out having to break the bank and who actually gets through a full size bottle of nail polish?

I hope you liked this weeks fantastic Friday! I broke up from school today so I have quite a few posts that I plan on popping up over the next week so make sure you don't miss them!

Fantastic Friday #2

17 lipstick | Autumn berries

This Friday, I am going to do a short review on the 17 lipstick in the shade autumn berries. I picked this up in boots for just £1.00 in their sale, which I'm guessing was an end of collection so I'm not sure this exact colour is still available but I'm sure they do similar colours.

I have worn this quite a lot recently as it is a gorgeous and quite natural colour for me compared to some of my other lipsticks. It glides on really smoothly and lasts for quite a long time. 17 lipsticks are also quite affordable so I would definitely recommend having a look at them and I know I will look at their lipsticks in the future.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks Fantastic Friday and I would love to know if you have tried the 17 lipsticks!

January favourites 2014 | Beauty

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all well.
So today, I'm going to do my January favourites. This will be the beauty favourites of the month and I hope you like them.

Baby lips | Cherry me
Clinique lipgloss | Air kiss
MAC lipsick | Creme cup

I'll start with the baby lips. This has got to be my favourite one that I own as it smells the best and the colour is gorgeous. I use this when I can't be bothered to make a proper effort with my makeup (mostly a Saturday!) and it is my go to lip balm at the moment.

Creme cup was my first ever MAC lipstick. As it's a cremesheen lipstick, it is slightly more moisturising that the other lipsticks from MAC which is a great thing for me as my lips are aways dry in the winter. It is also a lovely nude pink that goes perfectly with a bold eye.

I love the clinique lip gloss and Creme cup lipstick together. It gives a gorgeous look and makes your lips super glossy. I am not a huge fan of sticky lip glosses but this one I can tolerate and it is one of my favourite lip combinations.

Body shop bow powder | Dark
Rimmel | Scandal eyes micro precise eyeliner

The body shop brow powder has been a permanent fixture in my makeup routine for a while now and I didn't realise that I have only just decided to feature it on my blog. The powder lasts all day and it comes in a variety of colours to fit every brow shade.

A few weeks ago, I was on the look out for a new felt eyeliner and this one was on offer in boots so I decided to pick this one up. It is so easy to use and glides on so smoothly. I have never been a pro at eyeliner but this is super easy to use even for a beginner and is probably my favourite product of the month.
Soap and glory | Scrub 'em and leave 'em body buff

New favourite body scrub! It is so lovely but I am not going to ramble on about it as the last blog post I wrote was a review on this product so go and have a nose at that.

Barry M gelly nail polish | Lychee

My go to nail polish at the moment is the Barry M gelly nail polish in lychee. Because it's a gelly nail polish it lasts longer than a normal nail polish even without a top coat. With a top coat it lasts ages without chipping. These nail polishes are also really affordable which makes them even better!

I hope you liked my January beauty favourites and I'd love to hear some of yours. I also can't believe it's February already! speak to you lovely lot soon.
