Hello, Today I thought I would show you my OOTD that I know I'll be reaching for a lot this season as I love it so much. It's so warm and cosy and even though I'm wearing a dress, my legs are still warm thanks to fleece lined tights. I have been looking for a coat everywhere recently and I have finally found my perfect winter coat from Topshop. I picked this up in the Topshop sale for £40.00 which I was absolutely thrilled about and is a total bargain for such a well made and good quality coat. I hope you like this outfit and I would love to know what items of clothing you're loving at the moment.

OOTD | Christmas day 2013

I had a few minutes on Christmas day to take a few pictures for a Christmas OOTD. The pictures are a little bit dark so I apologise for that but i cant help the fact that it rained and it was dark. This is my first OOTD on this blog so I hope you enjoy it.

I found this dress in Primark a few weeks ago and picked it up as I thought it would be perfect for Christmas. I see this dress everywhere so I guess its quite a popular find. I thought it was so festive as the main colour is red and when i wear this I feel like a old fashioned school girl.

I also really love the little collar and bow detail. I think it really completes the dress.

I honestly wear these shoes so much as they are so comfy. They are 'copys' of the Jeffrey Campbell Lita's which I absolutely love but I didn't want to splurge on the actual boots as they are quite pricey but i picked these up for under £20.00!

I kept my makeup quite simple today with a slightly glittery eye and a subtle red lip which doesn't seem to show up in this photo. I finished up with a winged liner and a peach blush.

And that's it for my Christmas OOTD, I hope you enjoyed reading it and i hope you had a really lovely Christmas and Santa gave you everything you wished for.

I'd love to know what you were bought for Christmas. speak to you soon, Aimee xx

FOTD | December 2013

Whenever I'm stuck on what makeup I am going to wear, I lean towards this look at the moment. It's quite a natural makeup look but has a small pop of colour on the eyes and pink on the lips.

I have also incorporated some of my favourite makeup products of the moment into this post so expect to see some of these products in an upcoming post (sneaky peaky).

The first few items of makeup, which I forgot to take pictures of (I'm sorry!) are some of my base makeup items.

My first item that I can not live with out has got to be the Collection lasting perfection concealer which I absolutely love at the moment. It has such a high coverage and lasts ages but I wont ramble on about it as I'm sure you will of already heard a lot about it from other makeup 'addicts'.

The second thing in my FOTD is my newish Bourjois healthy mix foundation which I also really like. I picked this up not too long ago from boots when I had seen this foundation talked about quite a lot, all reviews had very high ratings so I picked this up as quick as I could.

I also love the very popular rimmel stay matte powder and the maybelline dream sun bronzer just to stop myself from looking ill as I get very pale during winter.

MAC blush in 'melba' | available here

On my cheeks, I have been wearing my MAC blush in Melba as its such a gorgeous, natural colour and just perfect for any season. I get so much wear out of this blush as it just goes with any makeup look so in my opinion, it's definitely worth the price tag.

Naked basics palette | available here

I had to include my lovely naked basics palette in a blog post some how. I love this palette and once again, it's quite a talked about product. With five gorgeous matte shade and one shimmer shade which is perfect for highlighting, it is my go to palette of the moment.

I use walk of shame (w.o.s) all over my lid as a base shade and then naked 2 in my crease to give definition and also to blend.

Jack Wills eyeshadow in 'wine'

I use this colour all over the lid as a subtle cranberry sparkle and blend up using 'naked 2' and 'w.o.s'. Its such a gorgeous colour and quite a recent purchase of mine as I'm looking for the perfect cranberry/wine colour and I do really like it but sadly its not very pigmented which in some ways, is a good thing for my more natural days.

MAC lipstick in 'chatterbox' | available here

I'm still absolutely in love with this colour even though it's probably more of a spring and summer shade. I try and use it as much as possible because its so gorgeous and adds a perfect pop of colour on the lips.

Swatches from left to right: Lipstick in 'chatterbox' ~ Naked basics palette: faint, Naked 2, w.o.s, foxy ~ Blush in 'melba'

I hope you have enjoyed reading this FOTD and I'll try and update my blog more regularly during the holidays, However I'm very busy between now and Christmas so if I don't speak to you before, Merry Christmas!

Speak to you soon,

Collection Eyeshadow Pencils | Review

Today I decided to write a review about the collection (previously known as Collection 2000) eyeshadow pencils. I have only recently brought these pencils and i have to say that I'm actually quite pleased with these pencils. These pencils are £3.19 on the Boots website which in my opinion, are very good value.

I currently only have two out of the six available colours but I have my eye on a couple more of them.

 Eyeshadow pencil in 'Hot chocolate'

Eyeshadow pencil in 'Vanilla sky'

As you can see, these pencils are very pigmented and are so soft, creamy and glide on beautifully. They last quite a long time and are all such gorgeous colours. If you haven't already then I definitely think that you should check these eyeshadow pencils out!

I will hopefully be putting some more blog posts on when I break up for Christmas in just under a week, so I'll speak to you (hopefully) very soon.

Glitter and Gold

I do like a set of freshly painted, no chips, shiny, lovely nails but unfortunately I'm not exactly amazing when it comes to the nail section and tend just to paint two coats of a solid colour. This weekend I was feeling a little bit more adventurous and decided to use a new Orly nail polish from the December issue of cosmopolitan.

Orly nail polish in 'hair band'

Barry m gelly nail polish in 'lychee'

I didn't want to go all out with the golden sparkle so I just painted little sparkly tips and I'm actually quite happy with the results.

I always find that the gelly nail polish from Barry m lasts quite a long time especially with a top coat and these are always my favourite nail polishes to buy whenever I'm looking for a new but cheap polish.

As for the new orly polish, I actually love it and I think that its going to be a staple through out winter when I'm not feeling like wearing dark nails and I'm definitely going to be looking out for more Orly nail polishes to try.

This nail design has such a subtle Christmassy feel to it and I love it! what are your thoughts and opinions?
