To live is the rarest thing in the world.

I'm back! I have a new laptop and I'm loving it! There should be a blogpost up soon with some changes that have happened and a little bit of a chit chat. But, I'm going to kickstart December off with a Motivational Monday!

I don't believe that many people actually 'live'. Just because you have you have a very good job or you are an award winning singer (none of which are bad things) does that mean that you are making the most out of life and actually enjoying yourself? You could make thousands in a day but might just wake up, go to work, go home, sleep; Without talking to anyone and stuck behind a computer all day, everyday. Is that actually living and enjoying yourself? I believe that you could be the poorest person in the world but could be making the most out of life, loving every second and actually having fun.

The memories that you will look back to may not always be good but some of the things you didn't enjoy doing at the time because you were getting wet and muddy may become some of your best memories. For example, in Year 8 (roughly the age of 12 - 13) I went to Cornwall for five days during school for an 'Activities week' There were only a few of us on the trip and we went to Adventure international in Cornwall and it turned out to be very rainy and muddy. Most of us complained while we were there, about the weather, the early morning runs, the clothes we were wearing but in the end it was actually such a fun week and something I will probably never do again and wish I could do it all over again.

I think in the end of it all, clothes will wash, hair will wash, people will forget and you will always remember something and whatever you may be doing, you will be able to tell people about it in years to come.

So go for it, do something new and enjoy yourself. Have fun and make the last chapter of 2014 the best one!

Maybelline Great lash big Mascara | Review

Maybelline recently sent me this mascara when I was one of the lucky winners in their twitter competition for this brand new bad boy. It is the second one in the 'Great lash' mascara line but unfortunately I don't own the original to compare. I think this one lengthens and volumises compared to the original which just lengthened.
I love the packaging of this product its bright and pretty but I like the fact that it is quite small and square. It just means it's more compact to pack and doesn't roll off of my dressing table after I've applied it; Bonus!
The wand of this mascara is actually a similar size as the tube so it doesn't drown in mascara. The neck (If that's what you call it?) of the mascara bottle it very small so it also scraps off a majority of the excess product which means you have perfect even coverage.

I don't actually currently have any close up pictures of me wearing it but I will do a 'Everyday makeup' post soon so it should be featured!

I don't think that it is currently available to buy in the UK yet but it is available online if you just type it in to Google. I also saw a double pack in TkMaxx the other day for £5.99!

Hope you enjoyed this review and I have so more coming soon! Thanks for reading!

Life begins out of your comfort zone. | Motivational Monday #3

I think an apology is in order to those who have missed these motivational Monday posts which I promised to do but didn't. I realised than in order to write a motivational post you had to be partly motivated yourself, which I wasn't, in order to motivate other people. Well I am back and writing! Yay for me! Many of these will be pre-written but I promise to try and do as many as I can even if it means spending my whole Sunday writing them for the next 6 weeks!

I really do love this quote, it isn't just for children, adults or grandmas: It works for anyone! And that is sometimes the magic of blogging. The fact that I (A 15 year old) can write something that can be read by someone who could be 10, 20 or 30 years older than me but still enjoy. Now I'm not saying that I am the best writer but I do it as an escape. I do it for me, it just so happens that you enjoy reading it to!

It's so easy for everyday life to become a habit without knowing it. You wake up, get breakfast, go to work/school, come home, eat dinner, go to sleep. It all becomes something we call a 'comfort zone'. Nothing that worries you, no anxiety, no spice. Just normal everyday life. Now I'm not saying that anxiety or worry is a good thing but everyone has anxiety but it is generally just called worrying. Sometimes, this in small amount is good thing. Imagine going to London which was 'in your comfort zone' but then needing to go on the tube. Woahhh, Way out. But you go on it anyway and you survive. You get off the other end and something happens. Something magical which could never have happened with out you being pushed out of your comfort zone and just doing it. For many people, going to University is 'out of their comfort zone' but it ends up being the best years of their life.

So although something isn't in your comfort zone, It doesn't mean you can't reach it. College, driving, own house, dream job. Sometimes you just have to go for these things and if it doesn't go right then try again. There's 25 other letters in the alphabet. Don't throw it all away at plan A. And if you get to Z and it still isn't going well then make a plan AA then a plan AAA. Do whatever you can to get yourself there. YOLO! (yes I just said yolo...)

Blogging was way out of my comfort zone. Talking about makeup, motivational things, styling outfits was all originally a big no no. I was worried about people judging me but then you get that anywhere. You get the odd boy at school make a comment but that doesn't matter. I have met so many amazing people through blogging and Instagram that I never would have talked to before so I say 'Just go for it!' What's the worst that could happen?

Holiday photos + Haul!

For my family holiday this year we went to spain and we stayed in a little hotel called the cortijo blanco in Costa del sol. Everyday, the hotel offered a free bus to the port five minutes away called Peurto banus which is an absolutely gorgeous place and suits everyone. My dad could look and cars and yachts. My mum could take some really pretty photographs and I could obviously go shopping!
All of the yachts started at around a million and went up from there depending on the size and there were some huge ones!
Dress | Primark
Converse | Schuh
I loved looking around at the shops seeing how the other half live, There were women just popping into louis voitton for a couple of new handbags just like that! And they weren't the cheapest ones either!
(Excuse the horrendous 'no makeup, I'm on holiday face!)
The only way is MARBS!!
Obviously I had to take a look into KIKO cosmetics and bought quite a few things! oopsie!
I picked up 14 things for around 30 euros which isn't to bad. everything was under 4 euros and I talk about it more in my kiko haul on youtube!

Aimee.

Hi. I'm Alice. I'm a normal 15 year old girl from a small village, near a small town, in nowhere special. I'm no one special, with nothing spectacularly special about me. However, Somehow in this small village where I live I have been lucky enough to meet someone very different to me, you see this person, this beautiful, strong, caring person, very unlike me, is special. In many ways some of us will never understand.
Some people need to take a step back from their lives every now and again and take on something called, perspective. Some girls wake up in the morning and struggle to get out of the house because they are so distraught that their curls will fall flat in the rain or some boys wake up and don't want to leave the house because their team lost at home the night before. But you see in the grand scheme of things this is nothing. Nothing at all. Because somewhere, maybe in a small village near a small town, someone else cant get themselves out of bed in the morning for a different reason, because they are so frightened of what could happen outside the safety of their home, a look, a comment, having to read something out in front of a class and maybe making a mistake, having to be put in pairs in class and realizing they don't have a partner, because it doesn't just stop there, its not just not having someone to work with, its loneliness, its isolation, its suddenly all their fault. Everything suddenly is.
Now I have no idea how this feels because you see I'm not writing about me. I'm writing about someone who is special.
I have watched someone have to face things that some people would never even dream of in maybe, 20,30,40 years of living. Watch someone dislike themselves so much that they begin to think that everything is their fault, that there is no help out there, that they have no one to turn to and are completely excluded, their confidence, self belief and strength is lost. They spiral into a deep dark hole and as they try to claw their way out they cant, they cant find the strength. So they fall, and they keep falling until they hit the bottom, but the worse thing is sometimes no one realizes, no one notices, the smile they paint on their face every morning that hides everything has finally done its job, its fooled everyone, no one cares enough to help until sometimes its just too late.
Now facing this every day might seem too much for some people, some people wouldn't fight back, they would just end it. But not her.
Its hard to watch someone feel like this and sometimes, yeah, you feel helpless, like no matter what you do they are just not going to get better, but what some people don't understand is that you don't need to try and get into their head, you don't need to try and fix every last deep, inner feeling this person may have. You simply just need to be there, be a shoulder to cry on, be the one they can talk to, text, call whenever they need the reassurance that you know what, despite what you may think there is someone here for you, someone who really truly cares. I cant lie, its hard, its tough and sometimes you feel like you may break too because its killing you to see them like this but its not about you. It has nothing to do with how you feel. Its about her.
To cut a long story (over 2 years to be precise) short, she didn't fall, like the rest, she didn't get caught in this hole and lose herself. She merely slipped. Momentarily. But she stood back up, brushed herself off and got on with it because truthfully, life is just too short.
Many people will be very lucky to experience the feeling that I have every time I look at her. Pride. I am so proud that she was different. That she was special. That she was, is and will always be my best friend. That she is, just her, no matter what people say or what they think she knows that it doesn't matter, all that matters is that she is herself. Aimee.

August Favourites 2014

August has literally flown by and I feel like I've done nothing. It's been one of those lazy, do what you want when you feel like it kind of month but I did go on holiday so many of these favourites are actually more 'holiday favourites' but I'm going to share them anyway as part of August!
Now to start with makeup, To be honest, not a lot really caught my eye but I have been using some recent purchases that hadn't really been reached for before.
My firt three are lip products. If you have been reading my blog for a while now then you will know that I am a huge lip product fan! A lipstick or lip balm of some sort some how always enters a blog post but then that's my addiction. There, I said it. I am ADDICTED to lipsticks, stains, balms, glosses, pencils. You name it, I will love it and these are my first three favourites this month.

The first one is Topshops lipstick in 'Brighton rock'. I have three things to say about this lipstick: 1.) The pictures on Topshop's website make it out to be a pinky-red but it's definitely not. It is a bright vibrant pink perfect for Summer.
2.) I may have slightly cheated as I have only had this lipstick since the 6th of August (My birthday) but, never the less, I am still obsessed.
3.) it's gorgeous! Nothing else to say but gorgeous. It glides on so lovely and stays there. Doesn't smudge, move or slide. Just beautiful.

Second is a No7 lip crayon thingy in 'Delicate pink'. This is only the sample size so don't worry -  The real one is much larger! This colour is quite a pretty and as the name suggests delicate pink. It's really pretty and girly on the lips but can still be a really grown up colour. It's also really moisturising and such an easy product just to throw on!

Lastly is a MAC lip pencil in 'More to love'. I bought this back in January to go under Rebel. Yes, I am aware that that is not the same colour but my shop didn't have one the same colour and I was desperate to wear 'Rebel' but I needed a lip liner underneath so I didn't care. The two make a really pretty pinky-purple. Anyway, like I was saying: It was to go under a deep purple but I have been using it with a deep red chubby stick from Ted Baker (Similar from Barry M) and although it's summer, I still like a deep lip on the odd occasion and this mix is stunning. I get so many compliments on my lip colour whenever I wear the two as a pair and because this lip pencil is a pro long wear, I don't have to worry about topping up my lipstick throughout the day which is great!

Next, I present two face products. The first is Benefits hoola bronzer which is a lovely bronzing shade. It is perfect for contouring and also perfect for a normal bronzer. I am very pale and this scared me at first because it is so dark but used with a light hand, It is the perfect shade for us paler people! however it does come with quite a hefty price tag of £23.50 but if your budget doesn't quite reach that price - check out the Sleek face contour kit which is only £6.49 and includes a great highlighter so you're basically getting two products for the price of one for a purse friendly price.

Now concealer, I am always on the look out for a new concealer and I came across the Maybelline fit me concealer which I have in the shade 'Sand' which is number 20. I bought this but it was too dark, but since being on holiday, It is now the perfect shade for covering up blemishes and I prefer this to the Collection lasting perfection as it isn't as cakey. Now the coverage isn't as high but it isn't as cakey on me which is one thing I dislike about the collection one. And for £5.99, it's a really lovely product.

Now this is one of my all time favourite nail polishes from Rimmel and I have had it for ages. I like dark colours on my toes and I am constantly reaching for this one. I wear it a lot on my fingers to but this is on my toes 24/7. It is part of Rimmels 'Lycra pro' range and I love the finish it has. It's super shiny and opaque in two coats. it has a huge brush for quick application but it is still very precise. It is in the shade 'Night flight' which I think they sadly discontinued but they have loads of new shades which you can buy here. They have also changed their bottle but it is still the exact same product!

Shoes! The first pair of wedges are these very high ones from New look. They are currently in the sale for £13.00 reduced from £27.99 and you can buy them here! My picture doesn't really do them justice but they can look super edgy or quite sophisticated I think. Although the heel stands at just over 5 and a half inches (!) because the platform is so big, they don't feel that high and they are probably the most comfy heels I own. I own these Ted Baker beauties and the heel height is about the same but so much more comfy! Probably not as pretty but much more practical. They also sell them in black with white straps and tan I believe.

Next are my new flip flops from iPANEMA. I took these on holiday with me and let me just say, these are the comfiest flip flops ever! This design also has a cute, girly glittery flag which I love. This particular design comes in loads of different colours and colour combinations so if pink isn't quite your favourite then they have loads of others so go and check out their website for loads of different colours and styles.

So that's about it for my August favourites! We have had things from makeup to shoes to nail polishes to flipflops so I hope you have enjoyed this post and that it wasn't to long! I will also be having my holiday post up soon so look out for that which will include some rather sneaky makeup purchases! (uh-oh) Speak to you soon!

Masculine vs Feminine

Now, Since the weather in the UK has started to turn a little bit chillier, I decided that it would be the perfect time to pull this outfit out. Although it isn't the warmest (As the trousers aren't very thick and the heels are completely open) it is still perfect for the weather we have been having recently.

Jumper | Primark
Trousers | Primark
Bag | River island (A/W13)
Shoes | Primark
Watch | Sekonda
Black ring on index finger | Primark

Hairtrade recently sent me these gorgeous hair extensions and I thought that they would be perfect to style with this outfit as it makes it look a little bit more feminine compared to just having my usual short hair although this look still works perfectly for anyone with shorter hair, I just prefer the combination of feminine long hair and heels) and masculine (Jumper and trousers).

This jumper is perfect for anyone who gets easily annoyed with something that touches their neck as it's quite a large roll neck so isn't permanently stuck to your neck. I also really love getting away from jeans with a smart pair of trousers, Dress them down with pumps and an over the shoulder bag or dress them up with heels and a clutch.; Perfect for going into Autumn.

I'm also really sorry for not posting too much at the moment, I am going to start writing some more blog posts and the next few days are completely devoted to my blog, Instagram and Youtube! - Thanks for sticking with me!
